This symposium was organised by the <a href="http://jemu.myspecies.info/">Joint Experimental Molecular Unit</a> of the <a href="http://www.naturalsciences.be/">Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS)</a> and of the <a href="http://www.africamuseum.be/home">Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA)</a>, the <a href="http://www.inbo.be/">Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO)</a> and the <a href="http://www.provant.be/bestuur/departementen/leefmilieu/pih/">Provincial Institute for Hygiene (PIH-Antwerpen).</a></p>
<p class="rtejustify">In total, 93 participants from more than 30 institutions attended the symposium.</p>
